Our largest workshop is our well-equipped woodworking shed. Here we have a good number of our members visiting to work on their own projects, a joint community project or making items for the shed to sell to raise funds.

This may involve some wood turning, making a simple bird box or joining with a work party doing a community project like multiple Kestrel boxes, repairing a local community groups nice oak garden gate or building Pews from parts from a local church.
There is a good range of skills so even complete beginners can find help and advice. A general introduction to the facilities with safety in mind is given plus specific training for each of the larger machine tools.
We have a full range of woodworking hand tools – planes, chisels, etc. Electric hand tools – Drills, saws, sanders, routers etc. As well as our workshop quality machine tools.
A 10” Table saw with sliding bench and panel sawing attachment.
A 10” bandsaw.
Medium sized woodworking Lathe and tooling.
A dual Planer / Thicknesser.
A 12” mitre/bevel saw.
A Morticer.
Bench drill with a large assortment of bits and tools.
Two different disc/belt sanders and a bobbin/spindle sander.
Scroll Saw.
Chisel/plane iron sharpener.
All machines have dust extraction and there is PPE as well as the normal range of finishes, sandpaper etc. for our members use.
We have a broad range of timber which is available for our members use.
